Brownies

Ive been watching coronation street with interest re the story line with roy croppers mother and the monday club.

what I would like to know - is it legal here in spain to obtain weed or other drugs to help with various pain? if so, where can you get some and how much does it cost. I would like to get this in cake form like in C.S.

i think this will be an intresting topic for debate

I certainly would be most interested in this subject. But has anyone anything that they could add. I know that it is perfectly legal in some countries if taken for medical reasons, hence it is used often in cakes and biscuits. How does Spain stand on this I wonder?

Ill add a comment to this, i dont smoke, take drugs, never have and never will. i have a odd beer now and then, thats it.
i know of people who smoke weed here and thats there choice, from what i know and hear from these people is, if you are pulled by the police here and found to have such a tiny amount of weed or marijuana, like no more than €5 worth you will probably get a telling off or have it taken off you along with them taking your details. If you are carrying enough on you that could probably be shared between your mates and yourself then you will get arrested as its classed with intent to supply, what degree that would fall under is depending how much it weighs and how it is wrapped, is it wrapped in such a way you are trying to hide it from the police is it wrapped in such a way that its just for you. These are all mitigating factors in how the police will deal with it. In the UK i have manyt friends that smoke it and they think its acceptable, they are not smoking it in public, its probably smoked on there own property. Again if the police were to knock on your door and find it, it will be based on how much of it you have, how its wrapped ect ect. Now if the police were to find brownies like is on corrie im sure youd get a telling off, cakes taken away and thats it, maybe a caution at most.
If goverments had any sense then they would accept the fact 4 out of 10 people smoke weed, marijuana, wether this be for medical reason or social, they would designate certain areas, miles away from the public, schools, ect ect and make it legal and tax people on it. They would make billions in revenue.
I will not say it wrong or right, as long as kids arent smoking it, but thata the problem, you will find most teenagers are, then that leads on to harder drugs.
Fact is, no matter what the police policy is, it will be the officer at the time who decides what to do if anyone is caught with it.

Having had a quick look via google on the Spanish laws on possessing marijuana. It looks like buying and selling it is illegal in Spain, but it may be lawful to have four plants on your property to use in cultivating marijuana. In some Autonomous Regions (Catalonia being one) you can get it legally on prescription.A drug is also available on prescription (sativex)but apparently it is more expensive than the marijuana it mimics and is in short supple. The main point of the legalities is that you have to prove it is used for pain relieve and is used in privacy.

So it is unlikely that anyone is going to be able to buy a few brownies from the home made cake stall in one of the markets? or is it?
